Cerro EMS is part of the Marmon Group, an American private company that in 2004 had global sales in excess of $6billion. Having the security of ownership within such a group has enabled the necessary change in infrastructure and investment needed in today's economic climate. Major investment in the latest forging and machining facilities has led to a change from being a predominantly forging only producer to a producer of forged and machined components. These facilities now comprise equipment which is both efficient and environmentally friendly.
Cerro EMS supply parts to many of the major industrial sectors including Gas, Water, Electrical, Security, Automotive, Transport, Hydraulics and Marine Equipment. Supplying such a diverse set of industries relies on the ability to produce a wide variety of products. For this reason we have forging presses ranging from 100t to 1800t, a wide use of robotics for automatic production, semi and automatic transfer machines, a vertiflex machining centre, 2 and 3 axis rotary transfer machines and CNC's, allowing us to produce components from a few grammes to above 30 kilos in weight. In addition we have Hatebur Hotformers allowing high volume production of nuts and other symmetrical components, up to a diameter/across flats size of 50mm.
We consider quality control to be of paramount importance. Cerro EMS is BSI registered. Using IS0 9001- 2008 as its minimum standard we strive to ensure that our customers receive high quality product. From the initial enquiry our technical department is involved with the customer. Production of our own tooling, use of Computer Aided Design, through to supply of samples, keeps our technical engineers and our customers in contact.
